Make it real.
Redesigning business for an agentic age.
For years, AI has been discussed in terms of potential. Pilot projects. New possibilities. Incremental gains.
Today, the conversation is changing.
Across the Nordics, AI is becoming part of how organizations operate. It is shaping decisions, workflows, customer interactions, products and services. Yet many organizations are still approaching AI as a collection of initiatives rather than redesigning how the business works.
At the same time, leaders face growing pressure. Economic uncertainty, evolving regulations, rising expectations for trust and security, and increasing demands for measurable results are forcing organizations to make difficult choices about where AI creates value and where human accountability must remain.

Welcome to SHIFT – Data & AI Summit 2026
”The next phase of data and AI is not about adopting more technology. It is about redesigning the enterprise so that trusted data, people, agents and machines can create measurable value together, under meaningful human direction.”
Caroline Segerstéen Runervik
CEO, Capgemini Sweden
In its 11th edition, SHIFT brings together Nordic business leaders, technology practitioners, policymakers and innovators to explore what organizations need to redesign next, and how trusted data, modern architecture and responsible AI can create lasting value for business and society.
Why this event matters?
Throughout the summit, we will hear from organizations that are putting AI into practice. Sharing what works, what doesn’t, and what they are learning along the way.
-
From strategy to enterprise redesign
and implementation. -
From trusted data
to trusted AI. -
From AI initiatives to
measurable business value.
We focus on the decisions
that
matter
most
-
How do we redesign organizations, processes and operating models for an agentic age?
-
How do we balance speed, sovereignty, trust and cost without slowing progress to a standstill?
-
Where should AI agents act autonomously, and where must people remain accountable?
-
What leadership, governance and data foundations are required to create value at scale?
-
How do we ensure technology creates value not only for organizations, but for people and society?

”SHIFT is a place for practical experiences, honest conversations, and new perspectives. Because the challenge is no longer understanding what AI can do. It is about redesigning business for an agentic age. Turning AI into real, responsible and lasting value. It’s about making it real.”
Craig Suckling
Executive Vice President, Global Head of Agentic Scale,
Capgemini
”The future of work is not human versus machine. It is the deliberate design of systems in which humans, agents and machines contribute different forms of intelligence.”
Danica Kragic Jensfelt
(Keynote speaker)
Professor AI & Robotics, KTH
Board member: Saab, H&M, FAM

Agenda
The AI reality shift
The defining AI question is no longer "What can the technology do?" It is "What are we prepared to redesign to create value from it?"
Why the next phase of AI will require leaders to rethink not only technology, but also operating models, accountability, investment and work itself. Challenge organizations to move beyond fragmented use cases and make deliberate choices about where AI can create meaningful value, where people must remain in control, and what kind of enterprise they want to become.

Leading the hybrid enterprise: Humans, agents and machines
What leadership, accountability and work become when intelligence is no longer exclusively human
AI is moving from assistant to actor. Agents can increasingly interpret goals, make decisions and execute work, while robotics brings AI into the physical world. But organizations cannot capture the value of this shift simply by inserting intelligent systems into existing structures.
In this keynote, Danica Kragic Jensfelt explores what happens when teams consist of people, digital agents and intelligent machines. Who sets direction? Who is accountable? Which decisions should remain human? And how should leaders use the capacity created by automation?
Drawing on perspectives from AI, robotics, research and the boardroom, the session challenges leaders to rethink work before technology defines it for them.

Stop adding AI. Start redesigning the business.
Why enterprise value depends on changing the whole system, not automating isolated tasks
Many organizations already have AI in production. Yet the expected impact on revenue, cost, quality and customer experience often fails to appear. The problem is rarely a lack of use cases. It is that AI has been added to processes, structures and operating models that were designed for a different era. Individual teams may become more efficient while the end-to-end organization remains unchanged. This panel moves beyond the familiar discussion about scaling pilots. It asks what leaders must redesign to create measurable enterprise value. From operating models and process ownership to infrastructure, governance, talent and token economics, the panellists will examine what is working, what is wasting money and what separates isolated AI activity from real business transformation.
Positive by design: Who decides what AI is good for?
Turning technological capability into human and societal value
AI is often framed through two competing narratives: extraordinary potential or existential risk. Neither is sufficient for leaders making decisions today. This panel examines how organizations can direct AI towards outcomes that strengthen people and society. What does responsible optimism look like in practice? Who gets to define positive impact? Where must human judgement remain in the loop? And how do we ensure that efficiency does not become the only measure of progress? Bringing together perspectives from business, research, public service and civil society, the discussion will explore how trust is earned, how responsibility is shared and how leaders can make positive societal value an explicit design objective rather than a hopeful side effect.
