Our 10th edition of the AdvantageYou Internet of Things Event takes different perspectives on IoT. Come and learn with us on Thursday November 23th! at our Leidsche Rijn office (17.00 - 21.30 hours)
IoT is becoming more and more common, while new use cases pop up on a daily basis. At the same time we’re learning that it is not just about getting data from sensor devices, but even more about how this data can help to provide information while creating insights. But it is also the needs to successfully scale at large, or how to move from PoCs to production, how to maintain a sensor network and how to judge the quality of incoming data. On the other hand, organizations are still struggling how to question the data to get the answers they want… These are the topics of our 10th IoT Event. Come and learn, and join the discussions to get all the answers.
Data is everywhere and growing more and more. We are collecting data from our sensor devices, expecting to turn it into sensible information to get the insights to improve business operations. Can this IoT data be trusted? Has it come from reliable sources, and how to judge a sensor device to be of the required quality? Is the sensor network itself reliable, and what about security? Come and learn how to securely implement and monitor a sensor network.
Running a Proof of Concept is not too difficult, but what about deploying a global sensor network? Coordinating logistics for 1000s of sensor devices, remotely training personnel on locations for deployment and setting up to remotely manage a sensor network is a challenge: remote site surveys, challenges in shipping and customs, providing the tools for installation and managing changes. Come and learn from our experience.
Medical devices are already producing data or are increasingly doing so. Think of beds in hospitals but also asthma puffers, blood pressure meters, watches, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, etc. IoMT provides data as part of a good primary care process or can improve this care process for the patient. Perhaps even more relevant is that high-quality data becomes available at high volume to analyze quality of care as a whole, training data for AI, etc. It is important to think about data standards to make this multiple use possible.
While the use of IoT is booming, and new use cases and sensor devices are developed at an amazing speed, the question whether IoT is fully secure is not always raised. Is the data gathered from IoT secured and safe, and how to prevent it from falling in the wrong hands? How is the use of sensor devices perceived in terms of privacy? Does the gathered data somehow include personal information, and how can one be sure of that if there’s cameras everywhere? There are legal concerns, and how does operational disruption impact my business? These topics will need some serious discussion, so do join us here.
So while the use of IoT is growing fast, it raises questions of all sorts too. Many of these are subject of our 10th IoT Event organized by AdvantageYou and the CoP IoT. We welcome you to join the event on Thursday November 23 at our office in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn.
